Pakistan, Dec. 1 -- Rescue 1122 spokesperson Hassaanul Haseeb Khan said the service's central command received information about the incident around 10pm. The boy was reportedly with his parents after shopping at a nearby departmental store when he accidentally fell into the manhole.

Khan noted that Rescue 1122 usually avoids nighttime operations due to low visibility, but the intense public concern and the parents' distress prompted the team to begin the search. Despite the efforts, the child has yet to be found.

Social worker Zafar Abbas expressed deep sorrow over the incident of a child falling into an open manhole near NIPA, saying the situation is critical and they are now hoping for a miracle.#Karachi #ZafarAbbas #TOKReports pic.t...
