Continuous heavy rain has worsened flooding in Punjab, leaving thousands stranded without electricity as the Ravi, Chenab, and Sutlej rivers overflow, submerging villages, destroying crops, and threatening urban areas with further devastation.
In Jhang, Multan, Chiniot, and Vehari, hundreds of villages remain underwater while crops on thousands of acres are destroyed, forcing families to spend nights under open skies without proper shelter or relief.
Meanwhile, in Multan's Shujaabad tehsil, 140 villages have been inundated as nearly 800,000 cusecs of water flows through the Chenab, raising fears of breaches that could worsen the already alarming situation.
