Pakistan, July 20 -- Authorities have opened the spillways of Rawal Dam in Islamabad after heavy rainfall caused the water level to rise dangerously. The dam's current level has reached 1748.40 feet, which is close to its maximum limit of 1752 feet. Officials aim to control the situation by maintaining the water level around 1746 feet. As a safety measure, the spillways will remain open for five hours to reduce pressure.
