Pakistan, Jan. 27 -- Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has confirmed that Animal is set to expand into a full-fledged film franchise, revealing that he will play a dual role in the upcoming sequel, Animal Park. The actor also disclosed that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is planning the story as a trilogy.

Speaking in an interview with Deadline Hollywood, Ranbir said that Animal Park is expected to go on floors in 2027, once Vanga completes work on his next directorial venture, Spirit.

"Sandeep is right now making another film," Ranbir said. "We should start Animal Park in 2027. It's a bit away."
