Pakistan, Oct. 19 -- LAHORE - The Punjab government has announced the creation of a special unit within the Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) aimed at enhancing tax collection, broadening the tax base, and ensuring transparency in revenue processes.

The decision came during a high-level meeting on revenue collection, chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. The new special unit will consist of field officers, tax consultants, legal experts, and data analysts, working together to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the authority's operations.
