Pakistan, July 5 -- The Punjab Wildlife Department launched a major crackdown against people keeping lions without a license. This action was taken on the special orders of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Officials inspected 22 locations across Punjab within 24 hours. They seized 13 lions and arrested five individuals. The department also filed five cases, with two more in progress.
The operation covered multiple cities including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Multan. In Lahore, officials recovered four lions and arrested four people. They also sealed one illegal enclosure and filed three FIRs. Gujranwala officers seized four lions and began legal action. Faisalabad and Multan reported lion recoveries and filed multiple cases as well....
