Pakistan, Feb. 11 -- The Punjab government has moved to formally include visually impaired individuals in the list of special persons, aiming to provide them better access to employment, education, healthcare, and government welfare programs.

The Punjab Empowerment of Special Persons (Amendment) Bill 2025 was introduced in the provincial assembly, clarifying that persons with vision below 3/60 or total blindness will now be recognized under the law.
