Pakistan, Oct. 16 -- The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has decided to recommend a federal ban on an "extremist party" while launching a province-wide crackdown on hate speech, illegal weapons, and lawlessness. The move follows violent clashes between Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) supporters and law enforcers in Muridke and other parts of Punjab during recent protests.
