Pakistan, July 24 -- The Punjab government has decided to introduce a KPI-based performance system in all public universities across the province. This move aims to raise academic standards by evaluating vice-chancellors based on key performance indicators such as teaching quality, institutional progress, and student outcomes. The decision came during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
In the same meeting, officials also approved the formation of College Management Councils for public colleges. These councils will be responsible for improving operations, governance, and educational standards.
