Pakistan, Oct. 19 -- The Punjab government has launched a large-scale crackdown to curb smog in Lahore, following the directives of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The Environment Protection (EPA) has begun 24-hour monitoring of heavy vehicles, including trucks and trolleys transporting construction materials, to prevent air pollution and control emissions. The move comes amid growing concerns over worsening air quality in the provincial capital.
