Severe flooding across Punjab has disrupted supply chains, delaying goods movement between Karachi and Punjab by two to three days, as trucks face blocked routes and waste fuel at dead-ends.

Transporters explained that although highways and motorways remain clear, the lack of diversion signs in flood-affected areas has forced drivers into unnecessary detours, increasing costs and extending delivery times.

Fertiliser shipments through flood-hit regions, including the Sutlej, Ravi, and Chenab belts, have been suspended, with industry leaders warning of serious risks to agricultural usage if the disruption continues beyond early September.
