Pakistan, Jan. 15 -- The Punjab Home Department has issued strict orders to ban kite flying across the province, warning that violators will face severe legal consequences to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.

According to the department, kite flying and manufacturing remain completely prohibited. Those caught flying kites may face up to five years in prison along with fines reaching Rs2 million.

Individuals involved in producing, selling, or transporting kites and kite strings face even harsher punishments. They could receive up to seven years in jail and fines of up to Rs5 million.
