Pakistan, July 12 -- Punjab government has decided to restore board exams for the 8th grade. The decision came during a meeting chaired by Punjab's Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat. The move aims to bring back formal assessments for 8th-grade students after the exams were discontinued five years ago.

Rana Sikandar Hayat announced that board exams will be held again for the 8th grade. However, exams for 5th, 6th, and 7th grades will be conducted as internal assessment tests instead of formal board exams. This system aims to balance evaluation and reduce exam pressure.
