Pakistan, July 17 -- The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 across the province due to continuous heavy rains and rising flood risks. In an official notification, the Home Department strictly banned all forms of swimming in rivers, dams, canals, ponds, and lakes to prevent further tragedies.

Additionally, the notification states that people are not allowed to bathe in rainwater collected on streets, roads, or public places. Boating without official permission in water bodies such as rivers and dams has also been strictly prohibited. These safety restrictions will remain in effect until August 30.
