LAHORE, May 17 -- The Punjab government has approved a key amendment to the Anti-Terrorism Act 2025, introducing a more structured and transparent system for investigating terrorism-related incidents across the province.

The amendment was passed during a special session of the Punjab Assembly's Standing Committee on Home Affairs. According to the revised law, every terrorism case will now be handled by a Joint Investigation Team (JIT), ensuring a coordinated and professional approach to probing such cases.
