Pakistan, July 22 -- As heavy rains and flash floods continue across Pakistan, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has directed telecom companies to ensure uninterrupted mobile and internet services in affected regions. To handle the emergency effectively, PTA has activated the National Emergency Telecommunication Coordination Centre (NETCC) for real-time coordination and support.
All telecom operators must now implement their emergency contingency plans without delay. According to the PTA advisory, companies are required to secure telecom infrastructure in sensitive or flood-prone areas and respond immediately to any technical disruption by informing PTA Headquarters.
