Pakistan, Jan. 27 -- The benchmark KSE-100 Index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday witnessed bearish trend, losing 579.17 points, a decline of 0.31 percent, to close at 188,587.66 points compared to 189,166.83 points on the previous trading day, according to PSX data.

During the session, the ready market recorded a trading volume of 870.446 million shares with a traded value of Rs 57.197 billion, against 877.559 million shares valuing Rs 58.594 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization declined to Rs 21.162 trillion from Rs 21.219 trillion a day earlier.

Out of 487 active companies in the ready market, 143 advanced, 298 declined, while 46 remained unchanged.
