Pakistan, July 27 -- The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has announced a major increase in cash rewards for athletes who win medals in global competitions. This revised policy was approved during PSB's 34th board meeting and aims to encourage better performances by offering bigger financial incentives. Notably, the reward for an Olympic gold medal has tripled from Rs10 million to Rs30 million under the new framework.

The updated policy also brings significant changes to silver and bronze medal payouts. Olympic silver medalists will now receive Rs20.5 million, up from Rs7.5 million, while bronze winners will get Rs10 million instead of Rs5 million.
