Pakistan, June 11 -- The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Sindh and People's Youth Wing Sindh are set to stage protests in Karachi today (Tuesday) over the rejection of a plea seeking an extension in the interim bail granted to former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur.

The ex-president was arrested over his alleged involvement in a money laundering case after his interim bail expired and the Islamabad High Court refused to extend it. He was arrested from his house in Islamabad's F-8.

According to reports, the PPP has planned protests in all district headquarters, in which party workers and supporters will wear black armbands and show solidarity with the former president.
