Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Lahore to assess the damage caused by severe flooding in Punjab, as water levels at Shahdara reached a massive flow of 180,000 cusecs.
On arrival, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz received the Prime Minister. Together, they planned to inspect flood-affected areas in Shahdara and Narowal to evaluate damage and coordinate relief efforts.
Authorities have evacuated nearby communities due to rising Ravi River waters. Floodwater has entered residential areas, including Thaim Park and Chohng, forcing urgent relocation of residents to safer zones.
