Pakistan, Aug. 6 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of severe flooding in Islamabad after heavy rains hit the city. He directed the district administration and Capital Development Authority (CDA) to rescue stranded people and ensure water drainage. Many homes in low-lying areas near stormwater drains were flooded, causing hardship for residents.

Following the rainfall, areas like New Chatha Bakhtawar were completely submerged. Rainwater entered homes, damaging property and trapping residents indoors. Streets in the affected areas became impassable. People demanded immediate rescue and support from authorities to handle the crisis.
