Pakistan, Jan. 20 -- Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed his government's commitment to eliminating terrorism from Pakistan, highlighting the armed forces' role in safeguarding the nation. Speaking at a national workshop in Islamabad, he stressed that national security remains a top priority and that Pakistan is prepared to face internal and external threats with unity and resilience.

The PM recognised Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa as a strategically significant province, acknowledging the sacrifices of its people and security forces in the war on terror. He also praised the province for hosting around four million Afghan refugees during the Afghan war, demonstrating Pakistan's humanitarian commitment.
