Sony has announced a $50 increase in PlayStation 5 prices in the United States due to a challenging economic environment and rising tariffs on imported goods, officials confirmed Wednesday.
Tariffs imposed by the US government have raised the cost of goods entering the country, forcing companies like Sony to decide whether to absorb the cost or pass it on to consumers.
