ISLAMABAD, Jan. 13 -- Petroleum prices in Pakistan are expected to decrease further starting January 16. Sources indicate petrol could drop by up to Rs 4.59 per liter, while diesel may fall by Rs 2.70 per liter.

Light diesel and kerosene are also likely to become cheaper. Light diesel may decrease by Rs 2.08 per liter, and kerosene could see a reduction of Rs 1.82 per liter, according to officials.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will submit the final calculations to the Petroleum Division on January 15. The final decision on prices will be made in consultation with the Finance Ministry and the Prime Minister.
