People across Pakistan will have the rare chance to witness a spectacular "Blood Moon" tonight, as a total lunar eclipse will be visible throughout the country, weather permitting.

According to the Meteorological Department, the event will begin with the moon dimming at 8:28pm, while the partial eclipse starts at 9:27pm. The total eclipse will commence at 10:31pm and last until 11:53pm.

The peak of the eclipse will occur at 11:12pm, giving skywatchers the clearest view of the Moon's deep red glow. The entire phenomenon will end at 1:55am on September 8.
