Pakistan, Oct. 18 -- Pakistan will soon have a new ODI captain ahead of the upcoming three-match series against South Africa, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Saturday. In a press release, the board confirmed that no decision has been made yet, but the final choice will be announced by Monday.

According to the PCB, head coach Mike Hesson has written to Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, recommending a joint meeting of the Selection and Advisory Committees to finalise the new skipper. The announcement signals a major leadership change in the national side as Pakistan prepares for the 2027 World Cup cycle.
