Pakistan, July 2 -- Pakistan is set to launch a direct ferry service from Gwadar to Gulf countries, aiming to boost regional trade, improve passenger movement, and attract tourism. The move is expected to enhance Pakistan's connectivity with the Middle East and provide a much-needed economic lift to the Balochistan region.
Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry announced the plan during a high-level meeting in Islamabad. He said the ferry service will create jobs, strengthen people-to-people ties, and support industries like hospitality, shipping, and local transport. The government hopes this will also ease pressure on Karachi's busy ports.
