Pakistan, July 24 -- The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is set to seek Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's approval for the national hockey team's participation in the 2025-26 FIH Pro League. This invitation came after New Zealand, who had qualified by winning the Nations Cup, withdrew from the competition. As runners-up, Pakistan is next in line and has until August 12 to confirm its participation.

The issue was discussed at the 34th PSB board meeting, chaired by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination, Rana Sanaullah.
