Pakistan, Jan. 25 -- An international policy journal has praised Pakistan's recent diplomatic engagement in Washington, describing it as a calculated and effective effort that strengthened Islamabad's position in regional and global affairs.

The analysis highlighted that India faced diplomatic strain after a proposed presidential visit was denied and a steep tariff was imposed, signalling a cooling phase in Washington-New Delhi relations.

According to the assessment, Pakistan turned this shifting regional environment into an opportunity by publicly supporting the United States' mediation role, which helped rebuild momentum in bilateral engagement.
