Pakistan, June 27 -- ISLAMABAD - to modernize and attract international green financing due to the absence of a central energy efficiency monitoring system, according to a new World Bank report. This missing framework is making it difficult for local manufacturers to track their progress or qualify for global carbon credit schemes.

The report, Steel Sector: Energy Efficiency and Decarbonisation, is part of the Pakistan Sustainable Energy Series. It highlights multiple challenges that hinder the sector's shift toward sustainability.
