Pakistan, July 29 -- The monsoon season has turned deadly in Pakistan. According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), 288 people have died. These deaths occurred between June 26 and July 29. NDMA also confirmed that 690 people suffered injuries in rain-related incidents. In addition, heavy rains have destroyed 1,567 homes during this period.
Moreover, the last 24 hours brought more tragedies. Six people died in Punjab, and one in Sindh. Meanwhile, 14 people were injured in Punjab, and one in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These incidents happened due to flooding, collapsed buildings, and other rain-related accidents. The numbers continue to rise with each new day of rain.
