Pakistan, May 9 -- Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar, clarified that Pakistan has not yet invoked its right to respond under Article 51 of the UN Charter, which allows for self-defense in the case of an armed attack. In an interview with Turkish media, Iftikhar emphasized that Pakistan's actions following the Indian attack on May 6 and 7 were purely defensive measures.
