Pakistan, May 18 -- ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's military spokesperson has reaffirmed the country's peaceful intentions, stating that Pakistan is not a violent nation and remains committed to regional stability. Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, made the remarks in a recent interview with RT Arabic.

The statement comes after rising tensions with India earlier this month, following Indian airstrikes in Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on May 6-7, which killed over 30 civilians. In response, Pakistan shot down five Indian fighter jets and intercepted multiple drones, but kept its retaliation focused on military targets only.
