Pakistan, Nov. 13 -- Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has formed a 12-member multi-agency committee to identify potential sites for the establishment of new deep-sea ports along Pakistan's coastline, marking a major step toward long-term maritime expansion under the government's "Hundred Years Vision 2047-2147."

Announcing the decision on Thursday, the minister said the initiative would "prepare Pakistan for the next century of maritime growth," following the unveiling of his vision during National Maritime Week in Karachi earlier this month.
