Pakistan, June 29 -- The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a flood alert for several regions of Pakistan due to expected heavy rainfall. According to the alert, widespread rain is likely in the next 24 to 48 hours across Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and parts of Gilgit-Baltistan. The authority has warned of possible flash floods, urban flooding, and river overflows.
NDMA officials said that heavy rains may cause flood-like situations in low-lying areas of Punjab. In Sindh, several cities could receive intense rainfall, increasing the chances of waterlogging and infrastructure damage.
