Pakistan, Jan. 25 -- Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the federal cabinet approved Pakistan's decision to join the Gaza Board of Peace, expressing hope that the initiative will help restore peace.

He emphasized that Pakistan's participation reflects its principled stance on justice, stating Palestinians will receive their legitimate rights with dignity, respect, and international support.

Speaking to media in London, the prime minister said the Board of Peace aims to rebuild Gaza and promote long-term stability across the conflict-hit region.

He added that President Donald Trump conveyed best wishes for Pakistan, while diplomatic engagements during the visit strengthened cooperation on peace and development.
