ISLAMABAD, Jan. 12 -- The Pakistan government has decided not to increase the average basic electricity tariff, providing relief to consumers across the country.

The announcement was made by the Additional Secretary of Power during a review plea hearing at the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
