Pakistan has reported two new polio cases, bringing the total to 29 this year, health officials confirmed on Monday. The latest cases were found in Sindh's Badin and Thatta districts. Both victims are young girls. The cases were confirmed by the Regional Reference Laboratory for Polio Eradication at the National Institute of Health (NIH), Islamabad.
So far in 2025, 18 cases have been reported from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, nine from Sindh, and one each from Punjab and Gilgit-Baltistan.
