Pakistan, Feb. 6 -- Pakistan on Thursday formally assumed the presidency of the Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO) during its fifth General Assembly held in Kuwait, marking a significant milestone in the country's expanding role in global digital governance.

The presidency was handed over at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from the organisation's 16 member states. Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja took over the leadership on behalf of Pakistan.
