Pakistan, Oct. 12 -- In a powerful and swift response, the Pakistan Army launched a large-scale counterattack after Afghan forces opened unprovoked fire across multiple border points, including Angor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, Dir, Chitral, and Baram Chah in Balochistan. The firing, reportedly aimed at facilitating the entry of Khawarij terrorists into Pakistan, triggered an intense military exchange that resulted in heavy Afghan losses. Several Afghan posts were destroyed, and dozens of their soldiers and foreign militants were killed as Pakistan's defensive fire intensified along the frontier.
