Pakistan, July 4 -- Trade negotiations between Pakistan and the United States have successfully concluded, marking a key step toward a potential comprehensive trade agreement. The discussions, led by the Ministry of Commerce, took longer than expected but have now entered the final phase, with both sides expressing optimism about the outcome.
A senior government official confirmed that negotiations focused heavily on trade tariffs, especially the 29% tariff previously imposed by the U.S. on Pakistani exports. This tariff has been temporarily suspended for 90 days, and recent talks have raised hopes of securing permanent relief.
