Pakistan, July 24 -- Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence ties. The development came during a high-level meeting in Rawalpindi on Thursday. Saudi Naval Chief Vice Admiral Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Ghuraybi met Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at Joint Staff Headquarters. Both sides expressed a strong desire to enhance military cooperation. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed the meeting and released an official statement.

During the talks, both leaders discussed evolving regional security issues in the Middle East and South Asia. They focused especially on maritime security challenges and opportunities.
