Pakistan, Oct. 7 -- Pakistan joined China, Russia, and Iran on Tuesday to renew its commitment to a stable and peaceful Afghanistan. The meeting took place in Moscow as part of the 7th Moscow Format Consultations on Afghanistan. Pakistan's special envoy for Afghanistan, Mohammad Sadiq Khan, represented Islamabad. He confirmed that all participants agreed on the need for a sovereign and terrorism-free Afghanistan.

During the quadrilateral session, all four countries expressed concern over terrorist groups operating inside Afghanistan. They agreed to boost regional coordination to counter the threat.
