Pakistan, June 1 -- ISLAMABAD - Pakistan and Afghanistan have agreed to fast-track the finalisation of the framework agreement for the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (UAP) Railway Line Project, aiming to boost regional connectivity and trade. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the matter with Afghan Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in a phone call on Sunday.

Both sides expressed strong commitment to the early signing of the agreement, which also involves Uzbekistan. The railway project will link Central Asia to Pakistan's ports through Afghanistan, offering a faster, more cost-effective trade route for all three countries.
