Pakistan, July 8 -- In a continued crackdown on crime, Karachi Police have arrested more than 623 suspects over the past week across East, West, and South zones, following the directives of Additional Inspector General of Police - Karachi, Javed Alam Odho.

According to a police spokesperson on Monday, the city's district police engaged in 11 armed encounters with robbers, resulting in the arrest of 22 suspects, including 12 wounded criminals. Police also recovered 13 illegal weapons and seven motorcycles used in criminal activities.

During targeted anti-narcotics operations, police seized over 29 kilograms of drugs, including charas, ice (crystal meth), and heroin, worth millions of rupees.
