Pakistan, Feb. 5 -- Authorities in Lahore have prepared for the massive influx of vehicles during the three-day Basant festival, estimating that more than 500,000 cars and motorcycles will enter the city for celebrations.
To manage the traffic, a total of 10,000 police personnel and 2,500 traffic wardens will be deployed, while special patrolling teams will monitor key routes to ensure smooth flow and public safety.
Chief Traffic Officer Athar Waheed confirmed that additional staff will be positioned at all entry and exit points, while Safe City cameras will provide live rooftop surveillance across the Red Zone during the festival.
