The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has released a detailed report on the destruction caused by recent floods in Punjab. Heavy flooding in the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab rivers has badly affected thousands of villages and displaced millions of people across the province.
According to the report, more than 4,100 villages have been hit by floodwaters, leaving over 4.2 million residents struggling with losses. Authorities confirmed that large areas of farmland and infrastructure were damaged as the rivers swelled far beyond normal levels. This has created one of the most serious flood emergencies in Punjab in recent years.
