Pakistan, May 3 -- ISLAMABAD, Saturday, May 3, 2025: On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR), in collaboration with Media Matters for Democracy (MMfD), announced a training fellowship for journalists with an aim to strengthen the professional capacity of journalists to report on digital rights and internet governance through a gender-sensitive and rights-based lens. Supported by UNESCO's International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC), this initiative also reinforces NCHR's role in advancing Pakistan's Digital Gender Inclusion Strategy, where the Commission leads the Safety and Security Working Group.
