ISLAMABAD, Jan. 21 -- The Oil and Gas Development Company Ltd (OGDCL) announced on Tuesday the discovery of significant oil and gas reserves at its exploratory well in Kohat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The discovery was made at the Baragzai X-01 (Slant) well, operated under the Nashpa Exploration License. OGDCL reported that testing in the Samana Suk and Shinawari formations yielded promising results, with a flow rate of 3,100 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 8.15 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas through a 32/64-inch choke at a wellhead pressure of 3,010 pounds per square inch gauge (PSIG).
