Pakistan, Oct. 14 -- The Khyber jirga TTP talks ended without any agreement as terrorists demanded Sharia enforcement nationwide. A 100-member jirga, including tribal elders, former lawmakers, and civil society members, met with the banned TTP's Noor Wali Group in Tirah valley. The talks aimed to convince militants to leave the restive area after recent violence.

The jirga was formed after a meeting with the inspector general of Frontier Corps in Peshawar. He warned that security forces would act if Tirah tribes did not vacate homes or if attacks on forces continued. The military had urged either civilian cooperation or action against the outlawed groups.
